Glass-staining deep garnet purple, the aromatics are immediately striking. Violet and redrose coalesce with vivid cassis and mulberry fruit, a distinct gravel and graphite complexity and hints of sandalwood and warm red earth.
Thick, with masses of fine grained fruit tannin, the palate is deep, dark and saturated withflavour, yet brightly lit with fresh acidity and bell clear berry fruit, finishing long and gravelly, with an enveloping violet mouth perfume.
A monumental wine - please decant well prior to enjoying as a young, or cellar indefinitely.
